I lived in the house at the side of the church on Kirkcroft lane but have lived in Spain for the last 12 years but on the side of the house on Kirkcroft lane is an extension built when I lived there it started out a a double garage but I later had it converted into a lounge but when it was first built most of the roof timbers came from the roof of the Killamarsh Empire
Many happy hours at the Saturday matinee, and a few pennies spent on sweeties at Walkers shop next door if we were flush. Or calling at Crofts for fish n chips and some fish bits on a Friday/Saturday night after t’pictures – two features. When I hear The Shadows music I always think of the interval at Killamarsh Pictures. And Queenie coming round with her torch and tray of ices.
