1. I clearly remember Jack, Ray Shaw, David Joule, Stan, Linton, Dennis Williams [sadly – died all too young], Joe … and so on – in the electricians workshop at Westthorpe Colliery – late 1960/1970s – Great bunch. Joined by Geoff Smedley, Alan Green, Peter Brownlow – Melvyn Brookfield, Melvyn Hurst, Steve Williams, Bernard Sidaway, Jim Batterham, Trevor Wilkinson, Bob Pollock … and many more. Fond memories of them – but not the place. Some amazing people there …
