All Such a tunnel would seem to be very rare. Usually a narrow canal would be
Bridged in preference to a tunnel. Does anyone know of the history of this tunnel? If so please comment

During the 1950s there was a scrap metal yard to the left with many old army vehicles in it. We searched and searched for live ammunition – boy am I glad we didn’t find any!!
