Something in my mind tells me that Mr Paladin’s flailing arms accidentally knocked off your glasses possibly causing damage to them Bet it said KISS. ME. QUICK. on your hat David
I well remember the holiday in Skegness, but can’t remember the event leading up to this photo, and I’ve no idea who the other chap is. What does intrigue me is that I wasn’t wearing glasses, which I should have been, as I was as blind as a bat without them. No doubt alcohol was involved somewhere!
This photograph was taken in 1962 at the Derbyshire Miners’ Holiday Camp in Skegness and features left to right John Hewitt and a man who said his name was just Paladin, who was a little worse for wear. Do you remember this John?
In 1962 you, me, Ernest and Derek were let loose in Skeggy for a week. Do you remember chatting to the entertainment on Saturday night, The John Barry 7 who had just recorded the James Bond Theme for “Dr No”. Also I remember Frank Ifield was No. 1 in the charts with “I Remember You”.
