Mum did not stand on ceremony! She said it just as it was. Sometimes a conversation she had overheard was repeated word for word with all the swear words still intact!! For someone we knew as a straight laced chapel person this did come as a shock. However she was a loyal Mum & always wanted the best for all members of the family. A great support to me in my turbulent years & a rock in a stormy sea that I clung to on many occasions. She played piano & organ at Sheffield Road Methodist Chapel & in her last years served coffee & tea at the chapel on Thursday mornings. A strong Sisterhood member she was a willing volunteer for all social events.
