  1. In March 1960 as a police road traffic officer I patrolling the M1 in Bedfordshire driving a Mark 2 Ford Zephyr. With no street lighting, cats eyes, central crash barriers and no speed limits things were to say least a bit scary. I had to deal with some most horrendous multi vehicle accidents. Now at the age of 82 I am able through the various dedicated websites able to recall much of what I experience. I have even found a photograph of the very same Zephyr that I drove on my patrols.
