  1. During WW 2, I was evacuated to Killamarsh as a consequence of the doodlebugs which could be watched flying over my parents house.
    On Sunday afternoons, my mother and I would walk to Cats Gallows and watch the procession of steam-hauled coal trains that puffed along the GCR and Midland
    railway lines.

  2. my dad built this bridge that crossed the chesterfeild canal in our cow shed at old hall farm in the early 70s with my grandad Harry smith Down.
